What’s psychoanalysis?

Psychoanalysis is a scientifically based and recognized method for the treatment of psychic diseases. It is also especially indicated for personal development or supervision. The psychoanalytic method can be applied in a frequent setting of 3-4 sessions a week or less frequently (1-2 sessions a week). The individual and confidential sessions aim at understanding the conscious and unconscious conflicts of the patient, which reduce his or her quality of life. During this process, we try to understand the sense of the unconscious motives underlying his or her individual history. Thus, new perspectives and personal potentials can open up.


A consultation usually lasts for 50 minutes. For psychoanalysis, we meet three to four times a week, for a psychoanalytic therapy once to twice a week. The fees are in line with the wage rates of the professional organizations. Contributions from the complementary health insurances can be asked for.
